Complex cases, multiple charges

We’re honest about this: if your case is complex — multiple felonies, charges in multiple states, or a previous denial — an attorney is worth the money. If your case is straightforward, our kit saves you $1,350+ compared to a private attorney while giving you confidence you’re doing it right.

Not sure? Oregon State Bar Lawyer Referral (opens in new tab) or Oregon Legal Aid (opens in new tab) can help you figure out the best path.

How Complete Peace of Mind works

File your petition with confidence, then let us clean up the digital trail. Four steps, start to finish.

Step 1

Tell us about your case

Answer a few questions about your record. We prepare your court forms and a human reviews them for accuracy.

Step 2

File with our guided checklist

Follow the step-by-step checklist: fingerprints, filing, serving the DA. We send reminders at every milestone.

Step 3

Court grants your expungement

The legal process typically takes 3–6 months. Upload your signed court order when it arrives.

Step 4

We sweep 164+ companies

Personalized FCRA dispute letters go out to every major background check company. Your past stops following you.

Our guarantee

If we can’t prepare your forms — because your record type isn’t supported, or because we make an error — you get a full refund. We guarantee the accuracy of our work. Since the legal process takes months and a judge makes the final decision, we can’t guarantee court outcomes. No one honestly can.

Common questions

Is this legal advice?

No. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We provide educational information, pre-formatted court documents, and process tools. For advice about your specific situation, consult an attorney or contact Oregon Legal Aid (oregonlawhelp.org) or the Oregon State Bar Lawyer Referral Service.

How long does form delivery take?

Your forms are reviewed by a real person before delivery, so please allow 1–2 business days after purchase. We believe accuracy is more important than speed — these are legal documents.

What if I’m not in Oregon?

The free legal information and guides cover all 50 states. The DIY Kit (with human-reviewed forms and guided checklist) is currently available for Oregon only, with more states coming. The Record Sweep works nationwide — FCRA dispute rights apply in all 50 states.

What’s the $33 OSP fee?

Oregon requires a $33 background check fee paid directly to the Oregon State Police for conviction set-aside motions (per ORS 137.225, as updated by SB 397). This is a government fee — it does not go to us. Arrest-only motions require fingerprints but no OSP fee. Court filing fees were eliminated by SB 397 in 2022.

Can I do this myself for free?

Yes, honestly. The court forms are public documents available from the Oregon Judicial Department. You can research the rules, fill out the forms, figure out where to file, and navigate the process on your own. Our kit saves you hours of research, reduces the risk of form errors, and provides 5 months of guided support — but the DIY route is absolutely valid if you have the time and patience.

What if my case is complex?

We’re honest about this: if your case involves multiple felonies, charges in multiple states, or a previous denial, an attorney is worth the money. Our kit is designed for straightforward cases. If you’re not sure, contact Oregon Legal Aid or the Oregon State Bar Lawyer Referral Service for guidance.

What does the money-back guarantee cover?

If we can’t prepare your forms — for example, if your record type isn’t supported or we make an error — we’ll issue a full refund. The guarantee covers the accuracy of our product. Since the legal process takes months and a judge makes the final decision, we can’t guarantee court outcomes.

Is payment one-time or recurring?

All tiers are one-time payments. No monthly subscription. No hidden fees. You pay once and get everything listed.

What if I already have my court order?

If you’ve already had your record expunged, sealed, or set aside, the Record Sweep ($199) is the right choice. You don’t need the DIY Kit — just the dispute letters to clean up background check databases.

How long does the full process take?

Answering the form questions takes about 15 minutes. After our team reviews your forms (1–2 business days), the full process — fingerprinting, filing with the court, and waiting for the judge’s decision — typically takes 3–6 months. We send you reminders at every milestone so nothing falls through the cracks.

This is not legal advice.

This guide explains how the law works in general terms. Whether you qualify depends on your specific record, and a judge makes the final call. If your situation is complicated — multiple convictions, charges in multiple states, or a previous denial — consulting a lawyer who handles expungement is worth the cost of a consultation.
