1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Expungement Guide (“the Service”), operated by Curiositech LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. We are not a law firm

Expungement Guide is not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. We provide educational information and document-preparation tools. Our tools help you fill out official court forms based on information you provide. We do not review your answers for legal accuracy, and we do not make legal determinations about your eligibility for expungement.

You are responsible for verifying that the information you enter is accurate and that the forms you select are appropriate for your situation. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed attorney or local legal-aid organization if you need legal advice.

3. Services provided

  • Free tier: Educational information about expungement laws, eligibility overviews, and links to official court forms.
  • DIY Kit ($149): Human-reviewed court forms prepared for your case, step-by-step filing checklists, process timeline reminders, and fingerprint-location guidance.
  • Eviction Sealing Kit ($49): Court-ready eviction sealing motion form, step-by-step filing and landlord-service instructions, and 30-day tracking. Oregon only.
  • Record Sweep ($199): FCRA-compliant dispute letters sent to background-check companies on your behalf.
  • Complete Peace of Mind ($275): DIY Kit plus Record Sweep bundled together.

4. Outcomes and user responsibilities

We do not guarantee that your petition will be granted, that your records will be sealed, or that background-check companies will remove your information. Expungement outcomes depend on your specific circumstances, the court's discretion, and applicable state law.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide.
  • You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You remain responsible for filing generated forms with the proper court.

5. Payments and refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars. Purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions.

If you are unsatisfied with our service, contact us within 30 days of purchase at support@expungement.guide and we will work with you to resolve the issue or provide a refund.

7. Liability, privacy, and legal framework

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curiositech LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us during the 12 months preceding the claim. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes, governing law, and contact

We may modify these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Questions about these Terms should go to support@expungement.guide.
